Ironic, yet annoying...

Tuesday, I needed to stop for gas on the way to work, and I pulled into a Chevron station -- one of those with the car wash attached. I first noticed the most annoying irony in a sign on their door, then later noticed the same thing on the pumps themselves.

They were signs for some car wash club card thing. They have, in giant bold letters:

Looking good has it's rewards.

I mean, I like irony, generally, but that's just so damn annoying!

The downloads for the episodes (well, just episode 1 currently) are available in 5.1 surround sound!

Pity I only have a quadraphonic setup. Unlike a Dolby Digital feed, I'm not able to route the center channel and subwoofer stuff to the main speakers. I have another set of speakers I can use to get the center channel, I guess, but it just wouldn't match up right. I'll have to resort to listening to the stereo version. I intend to have my computer recording itself, and it won't record anything better than stereo anyway.

Ooh, I did just hear that, of course, they're using the UK dialogue, so Americans unaware of some of the censorship present in their editions of the novels will be a bit shocked. "Arthur Dent? Arthur Philip Dent? You're a jerk -- a complete arsehole."

OK, well, I better get to setting this up!
