Gung-Ho Fat Boy

I've never eaten so many different kinds of animals in one sitting before... and I didn't even try the jellyfish.

And I learned something new. When we were back home, her mom was looking through the red envelopes that Linda and I received, trying to figure who gave out which ones. What I didn't realize is that most of them are customized. The large character on most of them was the family name of the giver. Since most of the family there were from her dad's side of the family, the character most of them had was Linda's last name (well, last when read Western style)! I'd never seen her surname written in Chinese before -- or rather never knew that's what it was when I saw it. It's 彭. One of these days, I'd like to find out if they had any Chinese spelling in mind when they came up with Linda's Chinese name, Pui-Ling. She doesn't care, but I'd find it interesting!
