Speaking of competition...

Some of you may have been aware that Nathan Ruegger (whom we all remember from his childhood days as Baby Plucky and Skippy Squirrel) was one of the 10 finalists chosen out of 200 submissions for the 2009 Coca-Cola Refreshing Filmmaker Award. The finalists were given film stock and a budget to make their 50-second spot that had to feature movies and Coca-Cola in some way.

The CCRFA web site finally has been updated. I figured that if Nate had won, we'd have heard about it, and I was right. He did not win. But you can still see his film, Moonlight Theatre, on the web site, along with the other finalists, including the winner, Meanwhile (which also will be played in movie theaters throughout the year).

Just making it to the finalist stage was an accomplishment, though.
